Preview is blank, paused or won't open

What "Paused", "Nothing is answering", "This preview isn't available" and a blank preview mean — and what to do.

The Preview is blank

Your app started but rendered nothing. KODEO says so in Problems (the page loaded but shows nothing) with the last error. Open the inspector's Console to see what the page printed. Broken HTML (an unclosed tag) is reported as you type.

The app isn't running — the person sharing it stopped it or closed their tab. The page waits and comes back by itself as soon as the app runs again. Links you made stay valid until they expire.

"Nothing is answering on port …"

The tunnel is up, but the app isn't listening on that port right now — usually because the dev server is restarting. If it lasts, check the app is running on the port that's shared (the port chip in the Preview).

The link was stopped, replaced with New link, or ran out of time. Ask for a fresh link. Teammate previews end when the runtime stops.

It asks me to sign in, or for a password

The person who shared it chose Team, Signed in or Password. Sign in to KODEO (members are let straight in), or enter the password they gave you. Wrong passwords are limited to a few tries.

On iPhone or iPad, a teammate's app opens in a new tab

That's on purpose: Safari can't show it inside the editor, so it opens full screen in its own tab — still live, still connected.

"This preview is full"

It has as many viewers as its owner allowed. Try again in a couple of minutes.

Sharing stopped by itself

  • The workspace used its preview transfer for the month (it resets on the 1st) — see Share your running app.
  • A Team admin changed Workspace settings → Previews, or stopped your link.
  • KODEO paused shared previews for a moment (your own preview keeps working).

Your own preview inside the editor never depends on any of this — it runs straight from your browser.
