Answers stream in, rendered with headings, lists and code, with numbered sources from the Help Center and — sometimes — suggested next steps you can pick. After an answer, press + or - to say whether it helped.

Assist answers questions about KODEO, including every kodeo command — not about your own code.

What Assist is told

From the CLI, Assist gets a few state words, each checked on the server: kodeo's version, your operating-system family, whether you're in a linked folder and whether it's being synced, whether you asked from the dashboard, and whether KODEO for VS Code is installed. Never your code, file names, paths or terminal output. The first time, it asks whether it may also look at your account (plan, usage, sign-ins) when a question needs it — change that any time in Settings → Privacy & AI.

Searching happens on your computer with the Help Center's own search — nothing is sent while you type, and once it's been loaded it works offline. In an article: y/n says whether it helped, a asks Assist about it, o opens it in the browser, q closes it. It works signed out.

A ticket from the CLI carries the same state words as Assist — never files, code or output. Add screenshots or logs in the browser. Replies arrive in kodeo inbox.
