Watching a teammate's terminal from the CLI

kodeo terminals lists what teammates share from the browser editor; kodeo terminal watch shows one live in your terminal — read-only until they hand you the keyboard.

KODEO runs code in the browser. When a teammate shares a terminal, a task, the Run output or Python with the room, you can watch it from your terminal.

List and watch

kodeo terminals
kodeo terminal watch 9b1c # or pick from a list: kodeo terminal watch

It opens full screen, live. In kodeo ui, the Terminals pane (7) does the same — press Enter on one.

Ask for the keyboard

It's read-only. Press Enter to ask the owner for the keyboard. If they hand it over, the header says "you have the keyboard" and what you type goes to their terminal — checked by the collab server and again in their browser on every keystroke — until the grant ends or they take it back. Only people who can edit the project can be handed the keyboard.

Press Ctrl+] to leave (Ctrl+C would go to their terminal once you have the keyboard).

Safe by design

Their output is redrawn by kodeo from a terminal emulator — characters and colours only. Nothing in it can change your window title, write to your clipboard, or send anything to your own terminal. Shared output is never stored: the room holds it in memory only while someone watches.
